ZANESVILLE, OHIO Fireplace Decorative Blue & White Spongeware Tile - Stoneware

Pictured is a beautiful & decorative blue & white spongeware fireplace tile available for sale.  The tile is elaborately embossed with a scroll design and measures 6" X 6".  It's in excellent condition with a very tiny nick in the very center
& on the corner edge, both obscure & noted for accuracy.  The underside is embossed with the maker's name "A. E. TILING CO. LIMITED."  The firm American Encaustic Tiling Co. was located in Zanesville, Ohio & produced from 1880 - 1935.
