This auction is for one of the Boatpeople's / 'Smoker's' or 'Jetskier's' distressed bib overalls. They are made from a pair of raingear overalls as they are very lightweight nylon. They are distressed in shades of red, yellow, and brown. The overalls have the two shoulder straps and adjustable tie at the left side.
These overalls are a one size fits all type - they are VERY large! This is a very unique outfit-no two are the same from this movie.
WATERWORLD (1995) is a futuristic movie when the earth is covered with water and man struggles to survive on boats and floating cities called 'atolls'. Deacon (DENNIS HOPPER) attacks an atoll where a young girl and her caretaker live, as the girl is rumored to have a map to 'Dryland' tattoed on her. The 'Mariner' (KEVIN COSTNER) gets caught up the classic good vs. evil struggle to save them from the Deacon and his Smokers (or Jetskiers).
All of us at Hollywood Movie Costumes feel very fortunate in being able to bring to auction this fine piece of Hollywood History. All of the items we are putting up for auction were used in the Movies, T.V. or Theater.
