This 8" Barber-Coman  "Barcol"  Bakelite Desk Fan electric desk fan is one of the more sought after "dime store" pieces in this restored condition. We meticulously dissembled all existing parts and electrical connections and repaired as needed, cleaned, and reassembled to bring this piece back to life by our skilled technicians. All inside components have been refurbished and re-protected. All visible parts have been professionally polished, restored, and/or professionally painted with show car automotive paint. The fan blades have been re balanced for smooth operation and works great. Dimensions are 9"X13"X7"

This model is a single speed  fan and has a line switch we installed for convenience not originally put in by the manufacture.There are no defects in the original design and works as it did over 85 years ago. The entire fan is made of the period dark brown Bakelite material, which makes it very special. There are no chips, cracks or pitt's. The bottom plate is also polished to a great shine.
The cage has been polished
to perfection
! We have also antique brass plated the cage and added a customized deep maroon paint job to the blades to enhance the features of this really beautiful little fan to make it a one of a kind piece. What a great little piece to use and display.
By the way, understand the reflections in the pictures may make things look like there are bare spots or paint missing. This is an illusion, there are no chips or bare spots.
We have restored this fan to fit into your kitchen, office, or any other room and add a beautiful accent to wherever you decide to display it
