Description
An Effective And Economical Roller Handle, Works With Dillon RL550, XL-650, Square Deal And Others That Use 5/8"-18 thread. Works Well With The Dillon Super Swage 600 AlsoSubmitted for auction and your consideration is this roller handle that works nicely with the Dillon RL-550, XL-650 and Square Deal progressive loading presses along with other presses that have a 5/8-18 threaded operating arm.
Prolonged use can be tiring when using the operating arm with the plastic knob. These roller handles were constructed to replace the knobs for those users who would enjoy a more pleasant reloading experience. Their smooth operation makes quite a difference, your hand and wrist will thank you.
While the roller handle adds an additional 2” to the overall length of the operating arm, it’s much more comfortable in addition to providing a bit more leverage. It has generous dimensions that will accommodate even a large hand.
The U-shaped frame is made of cold rolled steel, one inch wide and after being formed, the frame is bead blasted and parkerized along with other parts. (Manganese phosphate finish.)
The roller is made of poplar hardwood, has a smooth high gloss finish and is 1 1/4" in diameter.
The roller has a
BRASS SLEEVE
that serves as a bearing over the close fitting axle bolt and this contributes to its smooth operation.
Brilliant Blue
is the standard color, but other color options for the handle include
Meadow Green
and
Colonial Red
. Please advise by email your color preference if different than the standard Blue.
Installation is simple, just remove the plastic knob of the loading press, install the jam nut and roller handle assembly and tighten. Happy reloading!
The accompanying photos show the roller handle and installation on an RL-550B and a Super Swage 600. It is a practical and economical hand crafted accessory and an alternative to much higher priced handles. More than 1,000 roller handles sold on eBay and other venues.
