Merci's (Kate Hudson) bathing suit costume from Barry Levinson's music comedy Rock the Kasbah. While on a USO tour in Afghanistan, a music manager discovers a talented young Afghan girl and manages her through a televised singing competition.
Merci wears her bathing suit when she attends a pool party. The costume consists of a wrap, bathing suit, scarf, shoes and jewelry pieces. The sheer beige wrap features bronze-colored beadwork along the front and along the star and moon-shaped patterns sewn onto the front. The knit bathing suit is tan and features shiny gold thread within the light brown stitching throughout. The scarf has a floral pattern throughout as well as red, teal and dark blue tassels sewn to two corners. The orange suede heels are made by Diane von Furstenberg and are a size 7M. The jewelry also consists of a gold metal necklace with diamond-shaped plastic jewels, a set of hoop earrings and six rings with orange beads in the center of each.
The costume shows minimal signs of wear and remains in great overall condition.
