Premium Shellplate Bearing Kit Dillon RL1100 or Super 1050 kit
includes the very popular Shellplate Bearing Kit, for eliminating the spills of powder when the shellplate indexes. Tactile feel for priming is enhanced and more consistent priming is achieved. Thumbscrews replace screws and bolts to speed up the adjustment of the press. Thumbscrews for 3 powder measures and 3 powder measure adjustment knobs. This configuration works with both new and old style powder measures.
This kit does not require re-adjustment of dies.
Minor fitting of provided nylon washers is required, it is easy to do and covered in the instructions (see video below). Detailed instructions come with each of our kits. We also maintain a FAQ with the latest tips and tricks for your press. You may want to check that out before purchasing a kit.

How the low mass detent ball works:
The low mass detent ball has less momentum when it locks up with the shellplate. This phenolic ball is super hard, smooth and lightweight. It's approximately 7 times lighter than the factory steel ball and every bit as tough. The low mass detent ball and reduced power spring has less momentum when it locks up with the shellplate. The material also absorbs vibrations much better than the steel ball. This detent ball is highly abrasion resistant and will not be cut or scarred by the shellplate. These are industrial grade and used when strength and abrasion resistance is required.
Delrin balls are shredded by some Dillon presses, the bottom edge of the shellplate can be sharp. This ball is 50% harder than delrin, and this is exactly why we had the phenolic resin ball custom made to our specifications.
No modifications are required to run this low mass ball and reduced power spring on your press. The LMDB and reduced power spring is custom made to our specifications, these are not off the shelf items.
