A pair of restored Woodies graced the front cover. They were featured in an article on "The Model A Ranch" located in Tuc son, Arizona. The proud owner, Sam Doty, was the guiding light in Chapter activities. Sam restored these his and hers wagons in the early 60's for himself and his wife, Virginia. The first real committee to study the subject of Judging Standards was formed. President Bill Reeder called it right when he hoped this would be the start of a monumental project to create a detailed manual concerned solely with Model A authenticity. A letter to the editor from Harold Eason of Denver cautioned against polishing the copper armature on the horn with carborundum. It seems that the particles imbed in the copper and wear out the carbon brushes. Use quartz sandpaper instead. Good advice. Thanks Harold.
