Miniature Ceramic Tool Box Rockingham / Bennington Style Glaze w/ Mini Tools 1973
Up for bid and for your consideration is an miniature ceramic tool box with Rockingham ware or  Bennington ware style mottled glaze. It comes with mini tools and is dated 1973.
This is a really cool little piece of folk art and would make a great addition to your Rockingham ware, Bennington ware or a fun addition to a tool collection!
Here are the details:
The box is about 3-3/4 inches wide, about 2-3/8 inches tall and about 2-3/8 inches deep.
This little box appears to be made from the slab construction technique and the design is scratched into the surface.
It is glazed with a Rockingham ware or Bennington ware style brown mottled glaze. It is glazed inside and out, the bottom is unglazed. There are no chips or breaks.
The top does not fit perfectly but there is an inner raised band that holds the top in place. There is a little applied handle on the top.
The front is marked "Tool Box" and there is a band of vertical lines edged with a horizontal line, all the way around the box, top and bottom.
The bottom is marked 1973 P.C. in scratched in letters. I suspect this may be a school project that was made as a gift.
It comes with an assortment of miniature tools.
