    Description: Vintage candy container from Marquise of Sévigné Chocolatier, Paris, 1948. The dog is made of papier-mâché and covered in authentic white animal fur. His eyes are glass. The Marquise of Sévigné, a celebrated writer and a lover of the finest cocoa, gave her name to the famous chocolate brand, Marquise de Sévigné, which was created in 1898. Size: 8.5” height - paws to tip of ears, approximately 8” snout to rear.
