Lovely Vintage Trio Winterling Bavaria Germany Cup Saucer 7 7/8" Plate MCM ? Nice 3 Piece Set!
Up for auction is a really lovely vintage porcelain three piece trio including a cup, saucer and 7 7/8" plate in a matching pattern by Winterling from Bavaria Germany.  This set reminds me of a mid century modern design. The cup measures about 2 1/4" tall, 4" in diameter and 4 3/4" from edge of handle to opposite rim of cup.  It is marked on the base with a symbol in a wreath and "Winterling Bavaria Germany 18".  The saucer measures about 6" in diameter and has the same mark as the cup.  The larger plate measures about 7 7/8" in diameter and has the same mark as the other pieces.  The cup and saucer are in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, crazing or scratches and the design and gold trim are mostly excellent (just very slight wear to the gold design on the saucer).  The larger plate is in very good condition with no chips, cracks, crazing or scratches but the inside gold rim design shows some wear--not sure if it came from the factory like that since this set looks like it was never used.
