Linear IEI 0587009 Emerge Network Node Board w/i-Button Security License!
This IEI EMERGE PC Network Controller Board does not require you to install it in a computer.
The backside has a slot for a 2-GB PC Memory Card to read/write to.
This board also contains the i-Button! That's the licensing button required to make the board work!
It's a hardware based security key that allows you to use the software/hardware contained on this card.
Without the i-Button the card is as useless as a piece of cardboard!
We were told that these particular eMerge cards are new and were never used. They look like the day they were manufactured so
I believe that they were spares that the company bought and had just in case they had one stop working.
There is no dust, dirt, scratches, or marks to indicate that they were ever installed in anything whatsoever.
