FIRE-RESISTANT LEATHER: Genuine leather apron is heat and fire resistant to protect your clothing and skin against shooting sparks and debris that are common hazards during hot work such as welding and blacksmithing. Made entirely of soft leather sewn with Kevlar thread (the most trusted reinforcing agent used in protective gear) for extended, comfortable wear.
REINFORCED AT THE STRESS LEVELS: The split cowhide leather is rivet reinforced at all of the stress areas. After many uses, the leather will naturally soften, becoming flexible and less restrictive. This hardwearing material deflects such hazards as welding splatter, grinding spark spray, and sawdust and drilling debris, protecting you and leaving the apron free of damage or mess. Conversely, synthetic fibers can burn vigorously, melt, and produce bad skin burns and abrasions.
TWO STRAPS FOR ADDED PROTECTION: Equipped with an X cross strapping on the back with an additional strap around the waist for a customized fit that won’t slip or loosen. The extra-long length (42”) protects your lap whether you stand or sit while sanding, grinding, and cutting. The two pockets sewn at the chest of the apron keep small tools and accessories close to your person, so you no longer need to survey your entire workstation for a pencil or tape measure when such tools are required.
