    Description

This is a circa 1870's Antique Stoneware Pitcher showing an Anchor to each side, and made to look like the Bow of a Ship. Nice roping design. I have only seen this Pitcher in Brown Splatterware, Never in White. It might possibly be Rockingham, Speeler Pottery Co., Trenton, NJ, or Edwin Bennett Pottery Baltimore, MD  ?  It is in excellent condition for its age see photos. The usual crazing that does not detract. No flakes, chips, or cracks. No marking to the bottom. Measures approx 8" tall and 7" wide. A wonderful rare estate find that was in the cellar of a 1910 house near New Brunswick, NJ for generations. Thanks for looking !
