From the wonderful PARAMOUNT Production 'BEAU GESTE' (1939) we are honored to be offering for auction the Military Pants worn by GARY COOPER in this movie which also starred RAY MILLAND, ROBERT PRESTON, BRIAN DONLEVY, J. CARROL NAISH, SUSAN HAYWARD and many, many more... These extremely rare pants, which date back to 1938 are in excellent condition. There are no rips, no tears or fraying. There is some light discoloration at the waist from being hung. The pants have all of the original buttons.
These pants are the only ones known to exist!
These pants are a size 30" waist that can be let out to a 32". The inseam is 27" that can be let down to 34 3/4".
BEAU GESTE (1939) : Beau, John, and Digby Geste are three inseparable, adventurous brothers who haven been adopted into the wealthy household of Lady Brandon. When money in the uppercrust household grows tight, Lady Brandon is forced to sell her most treasured jewel the mighty "Blue Water" sapphire. The household gets it out for one final look, the lights go out and it vanishes stolen by one of the brothers, no doubt. That night, Beau, Digby, and John each "confess" and slip out, John leaving behind Isabel, whom he loves. They all join the Foreign Legion, and Beau and Digby are split from John and put under the command of the ruthless and sadistic Sergeant Markoff. Things begin to get hairy as the rest of the Legionaires plot a mutiny against Markoff, in the midst of an attack by Arab hordes.
