Life was changing. What a concept! No, really. Moon walks, smog pumps, freeze dried ice cream (I still don't get that one). But, the Club was constant. Dear old Bill Reeder gave us the low down on restoring 1931 running boards. His articles were a wonder. This was one of the first ones I actually paid any attention to. It was written so well that I believed I could do it. That's why I love Bill because without words he helped me to believe in myself and in what I could do. For that, I'll always be grateful. I don't know what else to tell you. The Club back then was not so different, really. The people were younger, of course, and the dreams were fresher. But all in all, it was about the same. Now, it's easier and far more expensive. I think better highways are prompting unfelt courage in folks to get going and see the country. That and retired guys who have the time to go. I wouldn't mind a trip to bountiful myself. Don't wait too long.
