    Description

    This small faux scrimshaw collection includes four Artek items and one Comoys of London piece. Artek is the Concord, New Hampshire company started by Sidney Winton in the 1970s. The three whale's teeth and the long trinket box are Artek items from this early period. All are of solid resin cast from molds made from the original scrimshaw items in museums in the U.S. and Europe. The Comoys'
    faux scrimshaw "Whaleship Beatrice" trinket box includes an etching of a mermaid hidden on the lid's interior side. All are in excellent condition except the Tamaah Maah vessel tooth that has a shallow chip out of one side of its tip.
