Description
For sale is a footed tea cup and saucer set by Elizabethan decorated with gold trim and detailed dark ruby red roses.Both the cup and saucer are fine bone china with very light edge following the swirl shape. The white pieces are decorated with several views of dark ruby red roses, from bud to fully open, bordered by a thin gold band The approximate measurements are: Cup: 3" wide, 4" including handle, sits on a footed base with double gold band 1 7/8" wide and stands 3 1/8" high to top of handle; Saucer: 5 5/8" wide across top, sits on 2 1/2" base and is 3/4" high; Combined: 3 3/8" high to top of handle.
Both pieces are in very good condition having served as display items. There is no damage or wear observed on either. Graphics and gold trim are clean bright. Both are marked with a green logo, although the saucer logo is folded over itself (photograph 12). In gold, the cup has the ID 2833 and both pieces have an additional mark.
Please note, in the
rose detail
photograph number 6, the fine line through the lower petal is in the print, not a scratch. This is near the center rim of the saucer.
