Vintage Custom Made 1962 Edie Adams Emmy Awards Worn Gown With Matching Long Wrap Photo Matched
This elegant custom made vintage sleeveless gown has an open back and is made from a crushed and brushed velvet satin material. It has a high neck, talon side zip and 2 button back closure with inside bra strap holders.
Edie wears this while accepting an Emmy award for her late husband Ernie Kovacs
Edie wore this gown to the 1962 Emmy Awards when she was nominated for her variety show “Here’s Edie”. She also accepted a posthumous award for her late husband, Ernie Kovacs which was for the camera work on his show. Edie is pictured at the awards banquet alongside Eddie Fisher who escorted her to the event, and in a separate press photo they are pictured with Milton Berle. A stunning, shimmering gown of the era, worn by Edie at one of the most illustrious award shows during the prime of her career.
