This listing is for a wonderful Movie Costume worn by an actor playing one of the students in 'DEAD POETS SOCIETY' (1989).
The uniform jacket has tails, is red with a white satin front and red, black and white trim.  It zips up the front with a placket over the zipper with silver buttons. The placket snaps down. The back has white felt with a red R on it. The jacket, which is a size 34, has a Western Costume Company stamp, as do the pants which are a 28/29 waist.  The pants are black with a red and white stripe down each side.
DEAD POETS SOCIETY (1989) starred ROBIN WILLIAMS, ETHAN HAWKE, ROBERT SEAN LEONARD  and many others. The story line:
Painfully shy Todd Anderson has been sent to the school where his popular older brother was valedictorian. His roommate, Neil Perry, although exceedingly bright and popular, is very much under the thumb of his overbearing father. The two, along with their other friends, meet Professor Keating, their new English teacher, who tells them of the Dead Poets Society, and encourages them to go against the status quo. Each does so in his own way, and is changed for life
