DAN MERCER WARE Parkersburg W. VA. Set of 6 Mugs Blue Brown Sponge Pottery.
Mugs are in very good pre-owned condition!! No chips, cracks or breaks! Mugs are approximately 4.25 inches tall and approximately 2.75 inches wide in diameter at the top rim. Please see all 12 photos. There are no chips in the stoneware, but there are some areas where the pottery is protruding through the glaze, therefore making it scuffed. Also on one mug there is a hard crusted material on both the bottom and on the handle that looks like it’s from manufacturing, see photo. And another mug where there are some black dots protruding from the inside of the mug, probably from the handle. All mugs are stamped on the bottom “Dan Mercer Ware Parkersburg W. VA. and they all have the same blue and brown sponged design. These mugs are beautiful!! Please message me with any questions. I don’t know the exact age of these particular cups but Dan Mercer lived from the late 1800’s until approximately the 1950’s.
