his loader can be used with all percussion cap and ball revolvers (Ruger Old Army, Colt Army, Navy and Remington revolvers) and the pepper box.
The only adjustments to be made is to the cylinder plate and the depth seating gauge if you desire to use it. DO NOT MOVE THE 2 HORIZONTAL FLAT BARS, THEY ARE FACTORY SET. All bearings must be kept greased. The cylinder plate adjusts with 2 cap screws. Loosen the cap screws and with the cylinder mounted on the cylinder pin (supplied), align the cylinder with the loading ram. Tighten the 2 set screws.
The loader is supplied with 4 cylinder pins. The smallest pin is for the .31 caliber Uberti. The next size up is for Ruger and the Remington revolvers. The next largest pin is for the Colt revolvers, the largest pin is for the Walker, Dragoons, and Pepperbox. Also included are all the Allen wrenches you will need. The flat washer is to be used with the smallest pins for the .31’s.

If you plan on loading a wad between the ball and the charge, we find it better to compress the wad and powder charge and then seat the ball on top. If no wad is to be used, simply seat the ball on the powder charge. Be sure to grease over the ball in the cylinder after loading to prevent chain fires.
A depth collar is included so you can set the ball to the exact depth each time. When you load the powder and wad do not set the depth collar on the loading lever shaft. When you are ready to seat the ball, seat one ball on the powder and wad, then set the depth collar and mark the shaft with a scribe or file mark so you can return to the same spot each time you load the revolver. After seating all the balls cover with a light coat of revolver grease, cap and fire.
