Art Deco, Retro Deco designer Dorothy Thorpe etched glass , glass jewelry box

Description

Antique Dorothy Thorpe etched glass , glass box.
This box is heavy .
Size is 12” across the front part of the top of the lid x 12” across the back of the lid as well . Depth of the lid is 8”.
Height of the box is 2” . The four side tapers into the base . Size of the base is 9.25” x 5.5” .
The condition of the box is really very good. The metal piece on the back of the lid is lightly scratched . No chips cracks or marks on the glass .
Has three sections in the interior.
I am guessing this box is to use either as a jewelry box or maybe for something else…
