This porcelain demitasse cup and saucer was produced in Germany by Meissen around 1880. The set has the blue crossed swords marking under the glaze.
The saucer is 4 3/4” in diameter and the cup is 2 1/4” tall with a diameter of 2 3/8”.
The hard paste porcelain is the finest quality the Western world has ever produced.
It is expertly hand painted with a variety of fruits and foliage in vibrant colors.
The rims and handle are accented with gold. It has masterful workmanship and timeless style. You can understand why so many other porcelain manufacturers around the world copied Meissen’s designs.#C314
