"Combi" Bead Breakers are named such as they work on a combination of different wheels. They can be used on single, two, and three piece wheels and rims. Also know as "Farm Tools" of even a "210 Tool", these bead breakers are used on truck, bus, farm and small construction wheels. Unlike the 5 piece wheel bead breakers, Combi bead breakers push the tire away from the wheel. The tools have two hydraulic cylinders, with the first one clamping the tool onto the wheel. Once clamped onto the wheel, the hydraulic pressure actually pulls the teeth of the bead breaker into the tire and wheel. The second cylinder is then activated and the bead breaker foot pushes against the tire, separating it from the wheel. While some tire fitters have used this tool on smaller 5 piece wheels, it is designed for use on only single, 2, and 3 piece wheels.
