REVERSE INDEX ROD UPGRADE for the
Lee CLASSIC Turret Press
If you are looking to improve the function of your press and increase your reloading efficiency, then this
UPGRADE
is for you!
Our custom reverse indexing rod replaces your OEM rod to allow your turret to turn clockwise rather than counter-clockwise. When used in combination with the included case ejector, your finished rounds will eject to the left, allowing you to then easily load in another case without removing your hand from the handle.
You will receive 1 adjustable reverse indexing rod and 1 case ejector in the color of your choice
These are hand made and as such may have tool markings on them though every effort is made to remove them. Each indexing rod is tested & adjusted in my press before shipping.
How to install your new adjustable reverse index rod:
Step 1:
Remove your die plate and then lift it up & out.
Step 2:
Remove the OEM rod by pulling it up and out of the top of your press.
Step 3:
Reassemble your press by placing your new index rod into place, followed by the die plate.
Step 4:
Load up some ammo!
How to adjust your new reverse index rod:
(Please note: These rods are tested and adjusted to our press before shipping to ensure that they work correctly. They are shipped with the nut locked in place using blue loctite. This is not a permanent thread locker. The following steps will help you adjust it to your press if necessary)
Step 1:
Follow steps 1 & 2 above
Step 2:
Use an adjustable wrench to turn the square nut on the top of the rod.
Step 3:
Reassemble your press by placing your new index rod into place, followed by the die plate.
Step 4:
Test the indexing of your rod. If necessary repeat until it is indexing correctly for your press.
Step 5:
Add either blue Loctite (this is the most commonly used kind and is easily removed if you need to readjust) or red Loctite (this is considered a permanent thread lock. You will need to apply heat if you need to adjust it after using this).
Step 6:
Reassemble your press by placing your new index rod into place, followed by the die plate.
