piece of football memorabilia! This flexible plastic nameplate measures approximately 15" x 4 1/2", and was used for a media event during their interviews with players either before and/or after the College Football National Championship game. The players to be interviewed would sit at a raised dais/platform, with a nameplate on the table in front of them for identification purposes. On left side of the nameplate is the official Tostitos BCS National Championship logo, including location (Glendale, Arizona) and year (2011). The nameplate's center area features the name of
Oregon Ducks
starting quarterback
Darron Thomas
. The right side of nameplate features an Oregon Ducks football helmet. The host facility was the
University of Phoenix Stadium

History
: in this BCS Football Championship Game, the
Auburn Tigers
and
Auburn Tigers
met for the first time ever, with the Tigers favored by only two points; they won by three, 22-19 on a last second field goal. Both teams entered the game undefeated.
Darron Thomas
passed for more yards (374) than Auburn's Cam Newton, but Newton drove the Tigers down the field in the closing minutes for the victory.
