    Description

    2010 4x4 Chevy Duramax 4500 Ambulance conversion
Selling our 4WD Ambulance conversion built on 2010 chevy Express 4500 dually. It has the very sought after Diesel Duramax LMM (last model before DEF fuel) with only 157,000 miles. Can easily drive above 80mph but we like to drive around 60 to average 15mpg when cruising on highway. 56-gallon fuel tank provides 800+ mile range.
4WD conversion was done in 2019 by Advanced 4WD Systems in Salt Lake City at a cost of ,000.
Recently fully serviced. No open recalls, no engine check lights. Installed New belts, new fan clutch and had the DPF (diesel particulate filter) removed and cleaned per factory specs and reinstalled by a professional shop when we were in California last fall, should be good for next 150k miles.
    Includes:
    •             TPMS monitoring tire pressure and temperature of all 6 tires,
    •             4K Dash cam,
    •             2 rear view cameras connected to after-market radio.
    •             7inch GPS
    •             Dual high output alternators.
    •             Smart solenoid to manage charge between house battery and engine battery, with push-button jump start mode.
    •             Front cab and rear AC (run by engine AC compressor) as well as 110v rear AC when camping. All 3 Air Conditioning system blow very cold.
    •             Off road LED driving lights
    •             400w Solar panels with Victron 100V/50A MPPT smart charge controller & Victron Smart Battery Sense.
    •             2000w Pure Sine Wave inverter (produces 110v AC from 12v DC),
    •             Progressive International Dynamics PD9260CV Inteli-Power 9200 Series Converter/Charger with Charge Wizard - 60 Amp (produces 12v DC from 110v AC shorepower)
    •             weBoost cell phone booster on 12v remote operated mast, which can raise the antenna 20ft off the ground when boon-docking.
    •             Diesel space heater with its own tank (when camping in very cold weather).
    •             Pull out cassette toilet.
    •             Instant hot water for kitchen sink and shower (Shower is outside but with privacy curtain)
    •             12v water pump connected to 21gal fresh-water tank feeds kitchen sink and outdoor shower. We even installed a thermostat device to circulate hot water to the fresh-water tanks in case of freezing temperatures when boon-docking in very cold winters.
    •             16gal grey-water tank
    •             Remote  tank level display for both water tanks
    •             Propane bottle (with remote shut-off valve) feeds cooktop as well as instant hot water heater.
    •             Couch converts to a double bed with memory-foam mattress (bed opens and levels remotely thanks to 5 x 12v actuators. (no need to level the vehicle to sleep comfortably when camping off-road or on uneven terrain). Hammock hooks installed on the ceiling (hammock included).
    •             110v outlets and 12v and USB charging ports throughout.
    •             Microwave oven and gas cook-top
    •             2 x 12v fridges (1 for food and 1 just for drinks which we power-off at night when boon-docking to save on battery power).
    •             Black-out insulated window inserts throughout to block off 100% of light and/or heat.
    •             We installed central locking with remote on all 7 rear doors and storage compartments
    •             On-board air compressor with 2 tanks and air chucks on each side of vehicle.
    •             CO2 and Propane alarms.
    •             12v dimmable led light strips inside and all around the exterior and below the ambulance for various lighting moods while camping.
    •             Manual awning and removable side table.
    •             Beefed up rear towing hitch. We added a 2 inch receiver on each side of the central receiver. This is overkill but allows me to carry a 550lbs adventure bike in the back of the ambulance with all the peace of mind we want. Also has electric trailer brake controls. Tows great.
    •             Comes all equipped and ready to go, including inflatable kayak. Just bring your clothes.
We have a pdf file to explain how everything is wired and works (our user manual).
    Cons are only cosmetic:
    •             Classic Chevrolet white paint peeling off in spots on the galvanized front cab (the rest is aluminum and in perfect condition)
    •             Reflective ambulance tapes on back of the ambulance have been damaged by the sun and will need to be removed.
We may decide to attend to one or both issues before selling it. Mileage may go up as we use it every now and then for shorter weekend trips.
