Please read the ad! 1985 Toyota Hilux Delux Extra Cab Pickup Truck, Only 73,882 original (documented) miles. This is an all original California truck. It is 100% complete without modifications. Factory equipment includes 22R 4 cylinder (Carb) , Automatic transmission, Factory A/C equiped. The engine runs out strong and transmission shifts out good. Starts right up no problem. Runs Great. Idles great. Short Bed(6Ft)
So this is an old mans truck, with that being said it is not the perfect K original owner truck you thought you would find for K. Southern California has strong sun, so the truck is a little sunbaked. It looks that the old man painted matching color red primer over areas as the thin Toyota paint burned off. So it needs more than a buff. The body and frame are solid, but even Cali trucks get some rust spots. Worst is top right front fender/pillar ( strange spot), some blistsers on the left windshield pillar, and on one of the more common areas along the left front bed (just surface rust because of no paint and seam filler is missing). The body is has a few dings and small dents that are hard to see because of the paint quality. Basically, The truck will need a good paint job! You can keep it stock or I envision this truck being modernized with one of the new TRD Truck new earth tone colors. Just an idea! The most important thing that it is 100% complete.
Mechanics are solid, but should get fresh oils and fluid to make a new again. Would recommend basic tune up (wires,cap,etc) as they look original. Also the rear exhaust pipe is bent badly .( Looks like backed into a low curb) Still runs quiet.
The interior is all there. The dash pad is toast.(This is the worst thing about the interior) They do sell a dash overlay here on Ebay (), but it may need replacing. The seat has no tears and is original, but has a few cigarette burns holes. But everything is there.
The A/C system is intact, but there is no belt, and the front clutch is loose. But i checked and it appears to still hold a charge of freon. So that is a plus, even if you need a new compressor.
The tires are junk (Dry rotted) and need replacement. So you should expect to trailer or ship this vehicle home.
So what you are getting is a solid original low mileage truck, that needs cosmetic restoration. This truck falls into a small area between rough high mileage trucks selling for more than mine and  the others which are also high mileage asking 2-3 times more. There really is no other comparison to my truck for the money. At this price, you can make it your own and even better than the others and still be in it for less than the high priced highly polished average trucks. I am NOT looking for offers and my price is very fair at ,750.00.
It still has a California reassigned title. Because the company in California only sells to dealers, I had to use a friends Dealer license to buy it. I did not title the truck, because I did not want to ad a chain of owners to the one owner history. So you will be the official second owner.
