1980 Reggie Jackson Panasonic Store Display Banner.
Unusual and obviously RARE silk/polyester banner created strictly for display in stores featuring Reggie Jackson endorsing the then-new Panasonic camera. I have not see another of this particular store display (though of course they could be out there). I’ve had this one since the year of issue! These were not sold - they were strictly for store display. I asked the store if I could have this when they were done with the campaign and they saved it for me. The material could be mistaken for thick silk but is some kind of high quality polyester cloth. It’s REALLY well made!
Interesting that Panasonic did not use the Yankees logo on Reggie’s cap. Obviously the result of a licensing and/or cost-cutting issue!
Measures 22 x 30 inches. Perfect shape. Easily ships rolled and easily displays hangs on built in hanger and lays flat when hanging due to wood dowel rod design (there is a thin strip of wood designed in along the top and bottom).
