Description
1966 Dodge Coronet 440 (model #, not engine). Engine is 318c.i. V-8. Engine bay is original and has not been detailed. All original except for new carpet and seat upholstery. Original paint is exceptional! Color is Citron Gold. Paint code is ZZ-1. I have a bottle of factory touch-up paint that is included.
The seat belts are gold color to match the exterior paint. Seems an odd combination with the black seat upholstery, but all seems to be original.
It has a few chips and scratches here and there, but no dents and never wrecked. Some of the side trim has some light dings, but nothing to be ashamed of.
Everything works except the fuel gauge, but I have a new sending unit (not installed) that goes with the car. The dash gauge is good.
Zero rust anywhere, except the bottom underside has some surface rust. It was undercoated when new.
Complete original bumper jack assembly. Good spare, but is several years old. Tires are fairly new, and have very few miles on them.
Two sets of original keys, and original owner's manual.
Bumpers are original, nice and not dented. The rear one has some light fading and 'peppering' starting to show, but still nice.
Radio makes noise, but doesn't play. I seem to remember that when I got the car, the connection at the antenna was kinda messed up, so I'm pretty sure that's where the problem is.
Steering wheel is almost perfect and the horn ring is very nice. Dash pad is not cracked or brittle, but has a bit of curling up on the side facing the windshield. Not noticeable when you are driving.
Runs, drives and shifts great! Recent new master cylinder, and brake work.
No power anything!! No power brakes. No power steering. No power windows. I'm sure it was bought as a basic transportation vehicle. The original owner is now 86 years old, and I got it from her grandson, who didn't have a place to keep it. I was told it was always garaged, and it shows!
Nice original weather-stripping etc.
Beautiful grille and headlight bezels. Not all beat up like most.
That's most of the good...here is some of the bad!
Windshield has a crack about 18" long on the passenger side from a flying rock from a big truck. Doesn't obstruct any views. I never replaced the glass because almost every friend I know who had new glass installed, seemed to have troubles with water leaks. New glass and rubber IS available if you choose to have it replaced. It just never bothered me that much.
It has an oil leak (not transmission) that will need to be addressed somewhere down the line. Not sure where it's coming from, but I just keep a pan under it when I pull it in that garage.
Other than that, it's a pretty awesome original car. It's not a collectible and probably won't win any awards at a car show (maybe best original), but it's a fun cruiser and gets a lot of attention.
Might be a good starter car for a young person on a budget who wants to get into the Mopar hobby and learn about cars.
It is sold "as is, where is", and no warranties are expressed or implied. It will not leave my property until paid for in full. I accept cash (preferred) or check, but it must clear my bank before the car leaves.
I have a clear Georgia title in my name.
If it sells to someone here in Georgia, the '66 license plate will go with the car. If it's out of state, I will keep the plate.
I'm just trying to downsize the herd a little bit.
I highly recommend coming by and looking at it, or send someone to see it (with appointment).
My number is six seven eight, seven zero nine, six six six six, and I am available 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM EST.

I apologize for the main picture not showing up on a search. I can see it, but for some reason, eBay won't let it go through.
