Uh, some pretty lousy photographs, but I think you get the idea. I wanted to keep it in the plastic holder. U.S. Government Printing Office--1964. Stan The Man was named to the President's Council on Physical Fitness in 1964. I don't know if there is such a thing now (we could use it), but every school in this era and through 1970 or so participated in this program. There were fitness standards that one had to meet to earn recognition, which I think was a certificate. It used to be a big deal. This sign is certainly a rare survivor. Measures 22 x 28. No staining, but small crease to bottom left corner, bigger crease to bottom right corner, missing the tip to top left corner, and small ding to top right corner. No holes. The body of the sign is excellent. Heavy cardboard. Great display piece and certainly something a Musial fan has probably never seen. I am not sure if this was produced just in the Midwest or throughout the country. Again, not something I have ever seen before. I am looking for pre-1920 Detroit Tigers programs. Will be well-protected for shipment.
