    Description

1946 Harley Davidson WRTT Class "C" Factory Racer
This is the rebirth of a racer.  This racer is rebuilt, it is not an AMCA restoration.  Harley Davidson only built 100 of these 1946 WR racers.  This racer has zero miles on both the rebuilt motor and the rebuilt transmission.  I bought my first WR in 1970.  I have owned and rebuilt several WRs since that time.
    Details:
The motor was assembled to factory racing specs by a well known former racer and tuner, the late vintage motorcycle expert, Francis Clifford (Cliff) of Pacifica, CA.  The bottom end has all new bearings and crank pin along with rebuilt WR rods between light WR flywheels.  The top end has new valves & springs, plus new pistons and rings.  All new ball bearings were used on the flat lifter cams.  All motor parts were hand fit as required by the factory racing specifications.
Motor cases carry the VIN: 46WR69XX on an unaltered number boss.
The Edison-Splitdorf horizontal racing magneto was rebuilt and sends spark through Harley Race Shop specified Champion R-11 Race plugs.
The motor is fed fuel by a rebuilt Linkert MR-3 racing carburetor.
The WR Racing Transmission was also rebuilt by the late vintage motorcycle expert Francis Clifford (Cliff) of Pacifica, CA.  It is fitted with a correct rebuilt narrow racing clutch which includes new fiber discs and clutch springs, set up to factory specifications.  New chain and sprockets were fitted.  The primary drive is 3/8" pitch and is covered by an original, correct narrow outer primary cover.
The wheels are original 18" Factory TT rear with a Firestone All Non Skid tire and the front is a 19" Factory TT with a Goodyear Sport Rib tire.
Corbin Gentry made the racing saddle here in the USA.
Fuel and oil is carried in a pair of genuine original narrow Harley WR racing tanks holding 1 3/4 gal. of gas and 1 3/4 gal. of oil.
Original Flanders racing handlebars and Flanders rubber mount risers, a popular setup used by early racers, are fitted on this WR.
A 0 deposit is due immediately by PayPal at the end of the auction. The balance must be paid by wire transfer to my account within 3 days.  The motorcycle will be released when the funds are verified as received by my bank.   There are several companies that safely transport motorcycles.  I have personally used Allied  with good results.   Do not use HaulBike as their drivers refuse to come into my community.  All shipping arrangements are the responsibility of the buyer.  I will assist in any way that I can.
Please look carefully at the photos and ask any questions you may have before you place a bid.  This motorcycle will be sold with a bill of sale, as is, where is.  This is a 75 year old motorcycle.  Although it is rebuilt, all the original parts, while carefully inspected, are 75 years old.   Hence, there is no warranty or guarantee.
I do not use the new eBay Motors app.  Please ask questions through the contact seller link, by text or phone.  Thanks, PJ.
I reserve the right to end the auction early as I am accepting offers locally.  Please feel free to call or text me.  If you have any questions, please call 8a-5p West Coast time @ 650-483-8643.
