1941 World War II GERMAN & RUSSIAN Occupied POLAND Veteran "5 ZLOTYCH" Bank NOTE
1941 World War II GERMAN & RUSSIAN Occupied POLAND Veteran "5 ZLOTYCH" Bank NOTE
Description
This is a veteran
"Piec Zlotych"
or
"Five Zoltych"
note from World War II German and Russian occupied Poland. It was issued by the
"Bank Emisyjny w Polsce"
or the
"Emission Bank of Poland"
in 1941.
During the brutal invasion of Poland by Germany in 1939 the Polish Lancers had ridden out on their horses to take on the German Tanks. You can imagine how that turned out. Poland was invaded by Germany on September 1 and then by Soviet Russia on September 17, 1939.
