Description
CALL DAVE Six Six One Nine Nine Two Zero Seven Nine NineUp for auction is a 1941 Harley Davidson FL Knucklehead. The bike is in "as found" condition. This is a non restored motorcycle. The bike was purchased from the estate of the gentlemen Leon Meek. "LeRoy" Who had the bike since history can document from the 80's. In one photo you will see Leroy and his son. The boy on the bike in the photo is in his 40's now. The bike was recently started before being put up for auction to prove there are no catastrophic failures with the motor. It hasn't been ridden or started in over 20 years. This machine again is being sold in as is condition. I have plenty of additional photos out side of the 24 in this listing. So if you would like more and are a serious bidder please feel free to contact me and I can send you a link to view the entire lot. Please don't waste my time as I wouldn't waste yours. Regarding the title. I have the early Pink slip with Leon Meek as registered owner. Leon Passed away in Mexico. His wife, Christa Meek inherited the bike and we have the DMV affidavit with her interest in the bike. I then have the Bill of Sale from Christa. So there would be some paperwork required after taking possession of the motorcycle.
The photos in the add hopefully provide enough information to bid with confidence. I want to make it clear that I am not Bruce Palmer and I want to represent this machine as it is. From what I can tell it looks to have a later non sweated Inline Fork. It has matching Belly 41 Cases with what appears to be 46 Cylinders and 41 Heads. The Carb is a Linkert M75 with a 378 Body. The Frame seems to be a 39/40 frame but its very hard to tell because the paint is thick, however all castings are there and visible under paint. The Transmission also seems to be 39/40 from what the case number and side cover tell me. The Sheet metal is all narrow brace with 41 style trim. Several pieces are period correct Atlas Accessories including the Bags, the seat the muffler and the Shift gate. Beck Grips and a Beck Shift Knob. Its got what seems to be a Green Peral Paint job. Tires are very very old, but tubes definitely still hold air. All the original wiring still appears under the dash. Original 6 Volt bike. The bike overall is very original and shows its age meaning it looks to have been a ridden motorcycle. If this bike was 100% perfect and parked in the 50's the reserve would be over 100K. The reserve is set at K. This is a very honest and original pre WW11 motorcycle with lots of character and history. I reserve the right to end the auction at anytime as the bike is also for sale locally. Again if you are an interested buyer feel free to contact me. The Machine is located in Southern California
Here is a short video of the bike running. I cleaned the carb and added fresh fuel. After several attempts I was able to get the bike to fire and run. It will be up to the new buyer to decide whether they would want to make this bike as reliable as possible after sitting for several decades untouched or if they would want to perform whatever their idea of a "Restoration" would be. The Bike is being sold as is in as is condition. The machine and its components are 80+ years old, please bid with confidence and please understand this is a piece of history. They aren't getting any easier to find and the highest bidder will be walking away with a very special bike. Like everything it will need care and maintenance to become a daily rider as it once was.

This is an Auction. So please feel free to ask questions etc. prior to Auction ending. Again I do have more photos I can make available but Please be respectful of my time and I promise not to waste yours. The Highest bidder is expected to pay and become the next care taker of this machine, not ask questions as soon as the Auction ends. I require an immediate non refundable deposit once the auction ends of ,000. The rest can be Wire Transferred or Cashiers Check can be sent. Once the funds clear the bike is available for pickup. I use Motoshippers.com its about 0 to 00 with Tim door to door. Tim Weig (505.917.3349).
